Summer is upon the kingdom of Lansloch, and when Prince Braun decides to go hunting in the enchanted Dunslach wood, he stumbles across the mysterious Princess Martiel. The beautiful fae girl stops him in his tracks, and both of their worlds are turned upside down.

 

Braun returns to his kingdom only to find out that he is to marry a stranger—and to his surprise, he realizes it’s Martiel. As Braun and his friends travel to the betrothal ceremony, they are attacked by a witch who vows revenge for the destruction of her forest. Braun and Martiel are wed, and they struggle with their new marriage but are helped by their friends to understand what is means to love each other, for better or worse.
